SYNOPSIS
From the ancient Greek past to the # MeToo/ #TimesUp present, ASS PLAYS addresses the intersection of sex, power, and dignity in our lives since the public shaming of media mogul Harvey Weinstein and other high-profile men. The plays transport the audience from a New York City subway car into stories of women and men confronting abusers, children challenging parents, mortals denouncing gods, the most vulnerable taking on the most powerful, and adults still scarred by their childhood past. Linking all these characters is a desperate need to make sense of the boundaries between their bodies and the rest of the world. ASS PLAYS may make you laugh, cry, reflect, and ask yourself this question: How can I help us love and respect each other better?
